Prosecutors have brought mafia charges against six art thieves, suspected of torching cars to distract the police during their destructive heist in which they stole a score of invaluable historical artifacts from a local museum’s China collection.
The gang staged a distraction for the police, while they raided the museum in January. Some of the gang members torched a car and the others were stealing the art collection. The value of the theft is around $420,000.
